Rags To Rigids are the sole supplier of the Bates Batten. A revolutionary device for securing a floppy flag.

Born out of necessity, the batten provides an easy way of securing a flag to a lighting stand. Working in the TV and film industry for many years, the creator was becoming increasingly frustrated with the problem encountered when trying to use a floppy flag outside in windy conditions. Having to find lengths of wood or a broom handle and using clips to secure wasn't the answer. A proper solution had to be found.

1 - Extrusion

High grade black anodised aluminium extrusion.

2 - Velcro

One side inlaid with 30mm PS18 Hook Velcro and the other side with 30mm PS18 Loop Velcro ensuring a secure fit in all conditions

3- End Caps

Durable rubber end caps for added damage protection.

4 - Bracket

Reversible custom bracket made from hard wearing EPDM rubber that adjusts to most common stand diameters. Features solid core for extra strength and sliding action for added flexibility.
